Born from frustration, built with vision

In 2010, Ronald Korporaal and Toon Schilder founded Adaption. From their experience at large IT companies, they saw how costly and frustrating traditional custom software could be—slow implementations, unstable systems, and reinventing the wheel every time. It had to be different.

Toon:

Ronald Korporaal

FOUNDER

Ronald studied Industrial Engineering at TU Eindhoven. He is highly interested in business processes and optimizing logistics systems.

I worked for large IT companies for a long time, but soon realized that large custom projects were not the future. Implementations took too long, and the software was often not technically stable enough to guarantee 100% quality to the customer.

Together with Toon Schilder, I founded Adaption to change that. All our software meets high quality standards so our clients always have working software that supports their business growth.

FOUNDER

During my Computer Science studies, I became interested in optimizing systems and interpreting and leveraging data intelligently.

In many custom projects I was involved in, I noticed that “the wheel was reinvented every time.” I’m a strong advocate for standard software that’s flexibly configurable. No more big custom projects with long implementation times, but fast-deploying logistics software that can be adapted to the client’s needs.

With Adaption’s products, I aim to deliver real added value to our clients’ core business processes. Fast to implement and high-quality standard software—that’s what I stand for!

Dennis Verdaasdonk

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

I’m responsible for the product development team at Adaption, and for the design and development of the standard logistics cloud applications.

My focus is on building applications with a solid foundation that can be adapted to the customer’s needs through configuration.

If we discover that a design decision was wrong, we’ll rebuild it as quickly as possible. This prevents creating an inconsistent system with growing exceptions that becomes unmanageable.
